We all have them, don't we- those guilty pleasure shows that lack any subtle comedy, deeper meaning about life or the world, or simply put: they are cringeworthy. That doesn't mean it can't be fun to watch them, though. So here's my 5 guilty pleasure Netflix (for the most part) shows.
The Circle - a social-media based reality show, similar to Big Brother but the candidates can only interact via a social media platform called "the circle". They compete for a 100 000 USD prize.
The Floor is Lava - a Netflix game show where the classical children's game has been transformed into a team-game with a prize of 10 000 USD. The task is simple: Cross a room without falling into the lava. (Note. The rooms are filled with fake lava. I think it's hot and bubbly, but not dangerous).
The Diary of a Future President (Disney+) - Elena Cañero-Reed has just become President of the United States and, upon entering the Oval Office, finds her diaries from 6th grade. As viewers, we follow the story of 12-year old Elena as she deals with friends, enemies, and middle school.
Jane the Virgin - Aspiring romance writer Jane gets accidentally artificially inseminated, which is unfortunate seeing as she is, in fact, a virgin. This comedic soap-opera style show follows Jane's life as the daughter of immigrants, worrying about Green Cards, money, the Catholic church and of course love.
